I have had this project in the back of my mind for several years now, even before working on my 'Star Wars' chiptune trilogy. By far one of the biggest movie accomplishments of all time and one of the most influential in my lifetime was Peter Jackson's adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Middle Earth came to life before our eyes like never before and Howard Shore's epic soundtrack made sure that Tolkien's creation made way into mainstream pop culture, enriching everyone's lives while at it.

2019 marks the 20th anniversary of Shiryu Music and before a time comes when I will no longer be able to keep producing and releasing music, best to get this one out of the bucket list. "The Chiptune Towers" covers some of the most iconic themes from "The Two Towers" and includes the lovely themes from Rohan and both suites for Samwise and Gollum. I hope you enjoy the end results!

every time I come back to this album it kind of blows my mind how incredible it is. I like "video game music" but mostly just have fond memories of simcity 2k and phantasy star online soundtracks. this is on a whole other level. it's enhanced by my memories of the game of course, but it really does tell the story and stand on its own. brian
