I have had this project in the back of my mind for several years now, even before working on my 'Star Wars' chiptune trilogy. By far one of the biggest movie accomplishments of all time and one of the most influential in my lifetime was Peter Jackson's adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. Middle Earth came to life before our eyes like never before and Howard Shore's epic soundtrack made sure that Tolkien's creation made way into mainstream pop culture, enriching everyone's lives while at it.

2019 marks the 20th anniversary of Shiryu Music and before a time comes when I will no longer be able to keep producing and releasing music, best to get this one out of the bucket list. "The Chiptune of the Ring" covers some of the most iconic themes from "The Fellowship of the Ring" and it was quite a challenge to 'demake' these into chiptunes without loosing all their orchestral majesty. I hope you enjoy the end results as much as I have in discovering them along the way into making this.
